The institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering IGEE offers a comprehensive range of academic programs designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to excel in the dynamic field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
The academic system is LMD, that means the student gets a Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering after completing 3 years with 180 Credits acquired and presenting a mini-project at the end of the third year, then the student can pursue his Master degree in one of the 4 specializations available at the instiute: Power Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering and Telecommunications, and the duration is 2 years.

What is the academic system at IGEE?

What are the specializations available in Master degree?
There are 4 Master's specializations: Power Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering.
What's the difference between computer science and computer engineering?
Computer science deals with software development, algorithms, and programming languages, while computer engineering involves designing and integrating hardware and software systems, including computer architecture, electronics, and digital systems.
Are the student dorms far from the institute?
Not really, the girls dorms are located 8 minutes -on feet- away from INELEC, while the boys dorms are situated in Corso, 12 minutes by bus from Boumerdes.
Should we bring a computer with us?
Bringing computers to INELEC is optional and not mandatory, and even if you don't have PC you won't have any difficulty or problems in your first year, However, having a personal computer will help you a lot. The institute provides computers only during Lab sessions.
What's the english test and what if we fail it?
The english level test is a test for all fresh students (L1) at the beginning of the academic year and its purpose is to distribute students in groups of the same english level, and failing it won't disqualify you from being an INELEC student as entering the institute doesn't require passing a sprecific test.
What's the criteria used for Master specializations?
The criteria used by the institute for the Master degree choices is your classification among other students, your chance to get your 1st choice is higher when you are well ranked in your promo during the 3 previous years.
What's the study language used in INELEC?
All of the courses in INELEC are given in english, and it's the first institution in Algeria to give its courses in english 100%.
What are the pros and the cons of residing at Bouhri (INH) and Corso?
The only positive thing that Bouhri has is the distance from INELEC (about 400m), while Corso is better at everything else (the water availability, bigger gym, a lot of problems in Bouhri like thefts, big presence of Students organizations in Bouhri and their negative impact..).
